I am a retired clinical associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of British Columbia and spent 40 years in active practice at a large teaching hospital in Vancouver. For years, I commuted from a small island nearby where I somehow found time to raise sheep, then llamas, as well as chickens, geese, dogs, cats, and, oh yes, an angora goat named Woody. For some reason, I also felt compelled to find time to write (and paraglide, and run, and hike and travel and work in New Zealand…).
As the leaves begin to yellow on my branches, however, I’ve found even more time to write, run, and wander around in New Zealand writing humorous travelogues (well, before the pandemic at any rate); I guess we all have to decide what our retirement looks like…
In what seems like the distant past, I seem to recall writing several novels published in Ebook format. Find them at: (https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/gozzter).
Perhaps more germane to my current existence, however, I have begun to see myself as a feuilleteur -an essayist, of sorts. I have been writing two blogs each week for several years now; please feel free to visit the other one… it’s not a competition…
